We have what is in effect a TORY GOVT in power & our PM is an avid Thatcherite.So Madness were contempary with Thatcher years.Anyway it was meant to be a light hearted remark,nothing too serious or deep.Also I dont get your reference to 'now'?Are you being obtuse?Do you live in a bubble?
