F*** UEFA Banner PIX Napoli 1 v 1 Celtic Europa League

CELTIC chairman Ian Bankier has hit out at fans of the club after they were reported to UEFA by the match delegate following their Europa League clash with Udinese.

A section of the away support was seen to display a banner saying: "F*** UEFA" - in response to a recent fine for illicit chanting - while some were also seen throwing flares onto the track at the side of the pitch.

Despite an impressive on-field performance, chief executive Peter Lawwell and Bankier admitted they were dismayed that it had been overshadowed by the defiance of the travelling support.

And Bankier insists the club will work tirelessly towards weeding out the troublemakers, adding that arrests were made last night.

"It's completely unacceptable in our eyes.

"We have to drive this out of the club. It's not only doing us harm but Scottish football is harmed.

"It's one or two silly, juvenile boys doing funny, kid pranks and it's bringing the whole of Scottish football down. It's overtaking what was a fantastic performance.

"We'll weed them out. We know this guy and we've got him. There were arrests made last night and these guys will not get back into Celtic Park.
