Springs of Crab Creek, Chassahowitzka FL, 2009, part 2/2

Seven Sisters, also known as Three Sisters, are springs that give a start to Chassahowitzka River along with Chassahowitzka main spring. There are multiple openings in the bottom of the shallow creek. The small cave is located in the middle of the creek, and a few openings with a good flow located at the beginning of the creek (the north most) are just a part of a small cavern with vents that are too small to penetrate. There is an evidence that some dare devil was trying to push a no-mount vertical solution tube where we stop our excursion in this cave. The little room above the solution tube is blasted with a flow coming out from below. Whoever went down was using a cement drop anchor to pull further which we did not dare to attempt. Cave has multiple lined up downstream entrances that can be traversed on a breathhold, the gallery is filled with sun light from above and fish. Water from the cave is clear and has no sediment, the flow is kicking. The solution tube is about 15' deep, and the water level has tidal influence.

We normally use guideline however in a high flow tight tunnel guideline presents more danger than it benefits the safety. Should penetration continue we still would use guideline despite the risk of getting entangled.
