Most critics might agree that the only good thing that came out of "No No Nanette" was "Tea For Two". I have heard this piece played as a Cha-Cha and a BosaNova. One organist even played it unbelievably jazzed up and wild with lots of Leslie scream which might impress Jimmy Smith but made some run for ear plugs. The best version I ever heard was an acoustic recording taken from the original stage cast as played from an old Victor record on an external wooden horn Victor Talking Machine. My arangement here is simple and traditional and I'm sorry folks as I am still not getting the better audio quality I had hopes for but I am still working on that. None the less, here is Tea For Two played in Ab. BTW- I forgot how the verse goes so I created my own generic intro.

  • Great!, i´ve enjoyed very much, you´re very talented.

  • @rordorica Thank you!

  • This week I've heard this tune on three different recordings and a movie on TV, now the best yet IMO- Gary you have such grace and choose your registrations so well. I'll be getting to my going Rialto II soon enough as I have rented a 5x10 storage unit next to the one I have so I can have space to do repairs. Picked up a Wurli 4410 free last week. The Attack tab really makes that electrostatic come to life. When you push the sound with a heavy pedal and play staccato you can feel it's big tone!

  • @paulj0557 Thanks Paul. I appreciate your listening.

  • Gary, you've still got the touch! I really enjoyed that and I don't catch anything poor about the sound.
