Crazy isn't it, to think it's allowed! Although I am a little sceptical as to whether the Police would tolerate it, they'd probably try to do you for disturbing the peace or causing an obstruction or something - imagine throwing a track on a roundabout haha!
Best of luck at Sandhurst mate! I'm not at all jealous about the Chally 2 thing. ;)
well i knew vehicles with rubber pads were allowed on road, but i wasn't sure if even an H entitlement would allow you to drive a 55 ton mbt on the main roads, I am impressed. I go to Sandhurst next year and then go out the otherside into either the KRH or QRH so I will be training on Challenger 2 (and then get deployed on Mastiff or something of the like!) cheers bud, good video, awsome tank
I drove a Chieftain on and off road for 3 years in Germany back in the mid 70's lots of fun but bad engine, the sound of it still turns me on though!

@elmski1987 Police have a problem with someone driving a tank around? What exactly would they do about it, Threaten him with a glock?

@14th20thKRHkickass provided it has tracks with rubber pads and it's fully insured, etc.
It should be tax-exempt as a historic vehicle but i'd check that out first.
Plus you need a category H entitlement on your driving licence which covers you for tracked vehicles.
Then it's just a matter of adhering to dimensional limits and weight limits for bridges, etc.
