Iris enters her old/Amanda's new office and picks up the framed photograph of herself and Mac from the desk and recalls the day that Mac gave her the key to her office at the Cory Complex. Evan comes in, and Iris tells him she'll be back one day, and in the meantime she wants Evan to keep an eye on things for her and report everything that happens at Cory Publishing to her. Evan refuses to be Iris's inside informant. Iris asks if Evan's little escapade with Amanda has made him forget who he is and why he came to Cory Publishing in the first place. Evan replies that he remembers. Iris tells him that they are a team and they are going to pay Rachel back for what she did to Iris and to Evan's poor mother Janice Frame. But Evan tells Iris he's going to go it alone; he can't afford her because she makes too many mistakes. Iris warns Evan not to play games with her because she doesn't have anything left to lose, but Evan does, and if Iris tells Mac that Evan is the son of Janice Frame, Mac will throw Evan out in his little Italian suit. After telling him to remember that, Iris leaves the office.
Amanda admires Julie Ann's engagement ring. Julie Ann apologizes for letting "that nutty lady" in her office. Rachel and Mac approach and Rachel asks about the nutty lady. Julie Ann says her final goodbyes to Rachel, Mac, and Amanda. Amanda tells Rick to take care of Julie Ann, and Rachel calls after the couple to be happy. Evan comes in after Julie Ann and Rick have left, and asks why they want him at a family meeting about the 25th anniversary party. Rachel tells him it's not just a celebration of the past, it's a celebration for the future too. Mac adds that they might not have a future if Evan hadn't helped saved the company from Iris's takeover, and Evan is a big part of the future. Rachel says this is a time to put the past behind them and heal old wounds, and Mac agrees. Rachel then tells Mac that she thought of a way to do that but didn't get a chance to tell him because things have been so hectic today. Mac tells Rachel to tell him now, and she says that she's been thinking a lot about Jason, and they've got to heal this rift between the Frames and the Corys, so she was thinking maybe they could invite the entire Frame family to the 25th anniversary party. Evan asks why Rachel and Mac would want to invite the Frames. Mac asks why it bothers Evan. Evan points out that Felicia, one of their biggest authors, was just convicted of Jason's murder. Rachel replies that the conviction was wrong, and they're going to do everything they can to reverse it, and what's more, she's sick and tired of everyone thinking that the Frames and the Corys can't be in the same room without hating each other on sight. It's not true. Rachel wants the next 25 years to be without those feelings. Amanda thinks it's a great idea. Rachel tells Mac she wants to call Alice and see if she'd like to come, and Gwen and Willis, and Sharlene would help, doesn't Mac think? Sam comes back then and asks to speak to Amanda for a minute. Evan excuses himself to make a phone call after Mac says they'll meet in the boardroom in ten minutes. Sam tells Amanda he knows it seems like he's hovering, but he really doesn't want anything to happen to Amanda. Amanda asks if Sam will promise not to bring it up again if she tells him something. Sam says no, but to tell him anyway. Amanda confesses that when she saw Auntie Rose come into that office, she was terrified. Sam pulls her into a hug.
Meanwhile, Evan calls Willis and tells him that he's about to get the most unbelievable invitation from the Corys, and he is NOT going to accept it.
