Owney couldn't do this today. Cause the Post Office is going broke on the oil spent on all those trucks to replace the passenger trains which are gone too. Since today we have snail mail it would take forever to get around. Or he'd be stuck in heavy traffic on the highways all day. Since the highway lobby got rid of those trains. Snail mail,run on imported oil in millions of trucks on congested highways. Really smart.

My daughter has loved Owney since she was very small. We have visited Owney at the Museum,many times,and you really need to see him and his vest of tags,from everywhere he traveled. It is an amazing story of a small dog that became best friend to so many people.
