@williamwilson666 That's not really true. Barry Norman grassed him up at an Oscars afterparty but Kaye said it had something to do with the fact he'd managed to get a better place in the line (they were both BBC, so it's sort of understandable why Norman was pissed off). Kaye never mentioned him interfering on any other occaission, and the time Pennis "did" him he took it with god humour. Paul Kaye gave up because he got sick of doing it and he'd become too well-known for it to be as effective.

Sad thing was he had to wrap up the character because Barry Norman kept tipping off security to deny him entry to film premieres. I bet in retrospect the BBC wish they'd got rid of a hapless non-entity like Norman.
