Some continuity and the intro to the BBC's Ten oclock News in 2002 and it's been a good day for Channel shoppers after a hearing on how customs will not be able to search randomly.

Presented by Michael Buerk from the South West region.

  • This is from the Summer of 2002, I remember the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, this was when I bought my Nokia 3330 phone, complete with a metallic purple cover for it and I was so proud and thought it was so technologically advanced. It's laughable now though, how things change in a few short years!

  • Two points:

    1) Marcus Bentley voicing a Proms trail?! I've seen it all. Can't stand him on C4 let alone anywhere else.

    2) Never knew Sasha Herriman was on the Beeb! She's pretty. Those lucky South West viewers...

  • i miss that

  • Michael is a legend!

  • If you watch other clips of him you'll notice he does it almost everytime! lol, must be a habit he picked up or some sort of thing for good luck as someone once suggested
