5:20 Since the "stimulus" if mostly creating government jobs (which drain taxpayer resources) rather than private sector jobs (which produce tax revenues, not to mention valuable goods and services), isn't it time we admit that the stimulus was a failure at best, and more likely a corrupt bailout to Obama's cronies.
-
When unemployment is so high, the last thing government should do is to kill jobs with greater regulatory burdens and higher taxes.
-
MrEmesis:
I'll second that......... also another disguised redistribution of wealth.
-
Scarelett: It's not constitutional. It appears to me that this health care bill is nothing more than a tax bill disguised as a health care bill. Beside's taxing people who don't take their public option, the lib/dims want to tax what ever health care you receive as income. For instance, if you go for some kind of procedure, (heaven forbid of course) and it cost $1000. You will have to pay a tax on this "free" health care. I don't know at this time what the rate will be though.
-
I don't understand how it can be constitutional to force people to purchase insurance? What a mess.
Looking forward to the next election cycle and hoping for many libertarian and actual conservative republican winners.

If we rob from Medicare $500 billion...that is definately blood money. The seniors WILL be denied drugs and treatments with that cut.

BROKEN PROMISES BY OBAMA
"LOWER PREMIUMS by $2,500 for a Family of Four" ????
"If you've got health insurance through your employer, you can keep your health insurance, keep your choice of doctor, keep your plan," obama said on 10-15-08 debate against McCain.
"The only thing we're going to try to do is lower costs so that those cost savings are passed onto you.
And we estimate we can ***CUT***the average family's premium by about $2,500 per year."
-
"LOWER PREMIUMS" (cont)
CBO.. "For most preventive services, expanded utilization leads to higher, not lower, medical spending overall.
The legislation from the Senate Finance Committee could result in higher premiums for customers.
The insurance industry is threatening that the $6 billion industry-wide fee & other taxes Sen. Baucus has proposed will be passed on to consumers.
This means..
It may be YEARS OR DECADES before any overall savings from obama's plans materialize.....if at all."
...so they think that when we get our morning Mocha and turn on the news and hear Obama is out in the LIBERAL wood shed allowing ONLY DIMS? inside? ........now that is when the word = CULT! pops into the mix. That's creepy and makes me think it's Chicago style = GRIFTER POLITICS! ....once again.....~sigh

This health care issue is far too important to be decided by only liberal Democrats who don't care about radical spending and want government to control everything. The only decent thing to do would be to start the health care debate over and allow Republicans to participate in the process for beneficial and productive reform to our health care system!
