@75sliver yeah monterey was a beautiful performance, and as a guy I don't use that word very often. I don't understand how somebody could possibly say that performance was awful.

@snakehunter1964 that was from monteray pop festival a great performance in which she was the only one in key,and i don't know how many concerts you've been to ,and this might come as a surprise,but they are not always perfect.but a fantastic performance nontheless! But thats just my opinion. Give it another listen?

OMG!!! has anybody listened to the version by OpALeScEmY on here called Janis Joplin - Combination Of The Two 1967???? i know this lady was battling some terrible addictions in her day, but that particular performance was just awful!! :( she was severely out of key!!

We had two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter, a salt shaker hall full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers. Also a quart of tequllia, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.
