Dr. Jay Siegel, the original lead singer of The Tokens, who still sings "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" in the original key from 1961, weighs in on my abilities as a musician. More info about Ivan "Funkboy" Bodley is available at: www.myspace.com/funkboynyc and www.funkboy.net.

  • I wish all doctors could sing like you Jay!What specialty are you in?

  • You still rock, doc :)

  • I honestly wasn't expecting much from this video, but it's surprisingly funny. I hope Dr. Siegel is still doing well. He was still in great voice when the video was made.

  • saw a guy driving locally with the license plate wimoweh. thinking what kinda jerk would put that on his car. oops. sorry it was jay

  • What a treat! One of the reasons YouTube was invented, for sure.

There is nothing else that can compare to "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".

It truly is a one of a kind song, one of the best ever. Heard it first in 1961, at the end of 8th grade. Still gives me smiles.

God Bless you for posting this.
