Bil has always been an outstanding musician ( we graduated from the same school, same class, etc.) but I'll always remember him best from Mrs. Gleason's 12th grade English class. Keep up the good work Bill!

I like the range he played in. I dont think he played above the 2 ledger line F. The bass trombone as an improvisation instrument should use the same range as the bari sax-Down to around Db below the staff and Up to about Ab or A natural above the staff. Thats the range I use. Sometimes higher and sometimes lower. The trick is to be able to get fluid 8th's in the mid-low register of the horn similar to bari sax players.
