Seeing and hearing all these obsessed people is almost 'scary'. These people are being brainwashed to brainwash others. It's a very, very sad thing that organisations/cults like this are allowed to excist.

I was in a DTS when I was 19. Studied the bible, great lectures, adventure, built shelters for poeple in Mexico, witnessed to kids in schools in Guatemala. One of the most adventurous and best times of my life.

@iXzerty I wish you could realize that those people are answering God's calling to their lives. They're not brainwashed, they're blessed. I'm planning to do my DTS in 2013!

Acts 5 tells of the apostles being arrested for preaching the Gospel of Jesus. Its especially prominent when Gamaliel stood up and said,

38And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: 39But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

Let God be the Judge of what these ppl are doing, and if it be for him it will prosper,if not you are only fighting with God

Let me give you guys some biblical proof why those so called YWAM missionaries are in majority just some backpackers with a little bit of Christianity.

When you read the book of Acts ( a missionary report) you will see that Paul and the other missionaries are talking about how God is working and what the result of it was. When you look at an average facebook report of a DTS participant, you will see that the emphasis is on fun, food, sightseeing and other touristic activities.

LIFETRIPS is right YWAM sucks, but Jesus has shown His disciples how to deal with 'organisations' and people like that: Matthew 15:12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him,

Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended,

after they heard this saying? 13 But he answered and said,

Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted,

shall be rooted up.

14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind.

And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

YWAM = BUNCH OF BUMS LIVING FROM "DONATIONS" TRYING TO BE "COOL" IN THE WORLD AND THINK THEY ARE "BETTER" AND "HAPPIER" THAN THE REST BY HAVING THAT "BUM-HIPPIE-COMMUNITY LIFESTYLE" "TRAVELLING THE WORLD LOL" THANKS TO OTHERS PEOPLE DONATIONS! THESE PEOPLE SHOULD GET A JOB!

DTS = EXPENSIVE LOSER CRAPPY "CERTIFICATE" SPEND THAT MONEY ON REAL EDUCATION (A REAL CERTIFICATE) AND BE PRODUCTIVE IN THE REAL WORLD! THAN WASTING TIME & MONEY WITH AN ABUSIVE CONTROLLING CULT.
