This decision was allowed to stand? A person's right to make informed consent in their own care has been abridged because they "might regret it". And the supporting evidence that a woman might regret a decision to abort is based on a man looking deep inside himself? Should a woman look deep inside herself to see if I have the right to a vasectomy?

You cannot prove or disprove what a person might think after the fact.

Is that a Supreme Court or a Kangaroo Court you poor people have?

> why is it "inflammatory" to call a guy who performs abortions
> an abortionist?

Every physician I've ever met who performed abortions was a gynecologist. They do much more than perform abortions. Being so simplistic about this, though, I suppose you prefer to call veterans who have killed enemy combatants killers. In your world, after all, one who kills is a killer.

I invite you to try that on some Iraq vets. I'm sure it won't be at all inflammatory.

But do all gynecologists perform abortions? That's the key point...

"Being so simplistic about this, though, I suppose you prefer to call veterans who have killed enemy combatants killers. In your world, after all, one who kills is a killer."

Simplistic? Are you serious? Ay yi yi...

It's called being "precise."

"I invite you to try that on some Iraq vets..."

OK...but in the spirit of precision, I'll append the modifier "enemy" to "killers."

I reckon I'll get some free beer! :)

The title of this video is misleading. She's referring to Kennedy as having the "I don't need no stinkin' evidence" mindset, not herself. In fact, her assesment is spot-on. She'd be a fantastic voice to add to an otherwise reactionary, out-of-touch court.

Just read on the google, its Sotomayor. Too bad.

A "mouthier" progressive like Karlin would've been fantastic as you say, but it would've also offered a much-needed (& still outgunned) foil to the hard rightism of Sca-lito, Thomas, & the oppressively-young Chief Justice Roberts.

Kennedy too--that shameful Bush v Gore okey-doker.

Also, non-crazies might've gotten a counter-voice to the icky public prognosticating Scalia &Thomas have gone in for.

Still, it ain't McCain/Palin's pick.

Waste my time by being confused by your other verbal spewage? After being called a retard because you can't communicate? Yeah, that's going to happen... Maybe when you learn the delicate rhetorical balance that is sarcasm and irony. The 'born-agains" are bored again with your posts. At least with my actions I got on the 700 club and had ol' Pat Robertson himself calling me satanic. Beat that little one.

Put her on the court.
She sees through their bullshit and busts them on it.
