One of the greatest doo wop songs ever, not just in my opinion as it has been ranked the third greatest behind The Five Satins - In The Still Of The Night and The Penguins - Earth Angel. I rememeber the first time I heard these guys I thought they were black, as their style is not like the Crew Cuts white bread doo wop. One of the stills in the video will show you their names - and it goes to show that whilst they were not an integrated group like the Del Vikings, they were a mix of Irish, German, Spanish and Italian, singing in a more recognisably black style. Anyway, whilst the song was not a commercial and national hit at the time, it has endured the passing of time and is definitive doo wop.

Many people consider this the best oldie or doo wop ever recorded. Yes they do sound more like a black group than a white group. It was very popular on Long Island where I grew up.
