I watched both videos. It still doesn't work. I'm going to put Cubase on my desk computer opposed to my laptop. I will then check everything on my other computer.

@Nightmareee918 Tell me exactly waht doesn't work. Does the track record and then the playback is silent? Does anything playback through the headphiones or speakers through the (I presume you are using Tascam 122L)soundcard?

@SimPotts When I have the mics plugged in, I play and it notifies that it's picking up sound, but the sound doesn't go through the speakers. When I play it back it doesn't have any sound either. But it indicates that sound is being picked up and played back.

And what exactly to you mean by Tascam 122L soundcard?

@Nightmareee918 Tascam 122L is an external USB connected soundcard. Are you using the internal PC sound card? What OS are you on XP or vista or something else?

i just got cubase and i cant get any signal, i opened vst performance.. nothing no signal at all. i tested my interface on garageband it works perfectly, i dont know what the fuck is up, has anybody else had this problem?

sorry to bother, but i am having a problem with my recording. i keep hearing strange noises over the headphones, and it might be my sound card, but do you know how i can playback audio ive recorded over my computers speakers instead of my interface? im using the us122l? if you reply that'd be great, or anybody, thanks :)

@simpotts it can be in another way.. sometimes the 'monitor' switch near the record button may be switched on after u record.  then u can't hear the sound in the track.

Ok I've been checking different videos and reading up on this problem of mine and I still haven't found a solution. I can record but I can't hear what I have recorded. If i import an audio file i can hear sound just fine so nothing is wrong with the speakers. Nothing is on mute. My computer settings are fine its all on tascam. my VST settings are fine its all on tascam. plzzzz help

hey, i have a problem with cubase...

I opened my project , tweaked some sounds and closed and saved without errors. later opened it again and there is no sound and no cpu meter movement... Really strange, i haven't tweaked anything. Maybe you know what problem i have ?

I'm using a Behringer UCA 222 and have plugged it in to one of my USB ports but I can't find it in cubase so I can't record anything. I have put in headphones into the UCA and I can hear the sound of my guitar playing as it should but when I press the recording button Cubase is just recording silence. Does somebody know what's wrong??

Forgot to say it but I'm using Cubase LE 4
