Hey i'm from the Netherlands and thrust me even if you're not Swedish the subtitled Swedish series are way better then the English one. Just saying :)

Krister Henriksson is head and shoulders the best Wallander. Different league to Brannagh. Much prefer the Swedish version and I'm English!

I think brittish and american people should see the real swedish Wallander-movie with subtitles. Not an own kind of Wallander.
Same thing with Pippi Långstrump (Pippi Longstocking), and "Karlsson på taket".
Why dont you see the original, swedish movies? I think the animated copies of the swedish movies is vry boring. It's like they are a new movie. I cant see the personalitys in Pippi and Karlsson in them like in the swedish movies.
See the old swedish movies = best!

Henning Mankell is for me the best crime fiction writer ever. Kurt Wallander is one of the most realistic and vibrant fiction characters I know. I love his interplay with his colleagues and his family far more than the descriptions of violent crimes.
Thank you to John Harvey and the BBC for this documentary. Much as I love Kenneth Branagh, I don't quite see him as Kurt. I would love to see the whole series with his version of the Inspector anyway.
