This is a pronunciation practice lesson designed to help you improve your pronunciation of the English consonant sounds 'sh' /ʃ/ and 'ch' /tʃ/. Listen and repeat after me to practice your pronunciation! (I speak with a standard American accent. This is great practice if you want to learn standard American English pronunciation. )

  • That was fun. Some are like tongue twisters. I had to repeat the words: switch shirts. I mispronounced it the first time. On my way home from work some kids from the International School asked me to try this one:

    The sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick. We all had a laugh about it.
