@Dannienf1 they just use snow making machines and point them in a few places to make it look back, then use plows to collect all of the 4 inch deep snow that fell in a field. goddamn, you'd believe anything!
@Dannienf1 Pretty sure, the snow wasn't as bad that year, although it could have been easy to get the pictures from then. All I know is that in the winter of 2000/2001 my friends were tapped in the school for two nights because a large snow storm passed through the town and snowed everyone in. So the pictures could be from another year, the story is from that winter.
Quebec is colder despite unusual mild days these years, the snow stays all winter. The old country houses on the North Coast Region of St-Laurence were built 2 storage high. The top floor had an exit door, no stairs, that was used to get out of the house as the cumulation on the ground gradually becomes too high in February. The snow compresses by its own weight in time, still used to be 7feet (216 cm) on the ground (not counting snow banks). These years in February, around 56cm on the ground.
you wouldn't be outside on the roof unless you have a door on the roof, everything would have stopped more than a week and you would have been quit a while stuck in the house not able to get out through the door without having snow coming down in the house.
Worst winter storm, or best winter storm?
