Irreducible Complexity: Does It Exist?

Fundamentalist Christian Creationists calling their belief "Intelligent design" and their gods "Intelligent designers" have proposed the bacterial flagellum as being "irreducibly complex:" a feature of the biological world that could not have evolved but required gods, or space monsters, or fiends from hell, or some other beings to have "designed." But is that a valid belief?

mutations happen all the time between generations. If a mutation is really detriment it will die maybe even before birth, hence it will not reproduce.

If a mutation makes the speciment a retard it will not live for long enough to procreate, it will not reproduce.

If a mutation is mildly negative or neutral it will have a chance to reproduce.

If the enherited mutations are positive it will have higher chance than average to reproduce.

The process is blind but obviously work. Simple enough?
