Her family and personal life were under fire and subject to embarrassment and being followed everywhere she went. it didn't matter if they got bailed out or not (though i'm sure they knew they would more than likely get bailed out). they work for corporations, so they don't have any accountability in the firstplace. when it appears they're doing well, they can give themselves huge bonuses. when the illusion falls apart, they take smaller bonuses. then, when the gov't bails them out and get's their stock moving in the right direction, guess what they do? they take huge ass bonuses! it's not a mystery.
