I have always bee a huge fan of Peanuts. This was the saddest news that I had ever heard in my life. Part of me died that day. It was a real loss of a more innocent time. You're a good man Charles Schulz. We'll never forget you.

@jennadanae88 I agree based on that it's seems ever since post 9/11 there has been paranoia, more garbage on T.V especially focusing more on celebrities i.e Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Jon&kate etc..

Wow! 11 years since Sparky died. I still remember hearing about it the day the final Sunday strip was printed. It's a cruel twist of fate that the man who gave us oldsters lots of laughs growing up passed on the day his strip "belongs to the ages. RIP, Charles M. "Sparky" Schultz.

i remember the day i heard Charles Schulz had died. i told the person who told me to stop lying because at that moment, i really wished he was. when i saw it in the paper, i held it together because i was in school but i was way, way down about it for months afterward. most of my childhood was spent reading Peanuts, wishing that red-haired girl would give Charlie Brown a big hug and that Lucy would let him kick that ball, just once.
