The Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors took 17 hours to pass a budget Monday. After ditching their proposed $20 per car "wheel tax" they settled on a plan that includes a 3.8 percent property tax increase.
County Executive Scott Walker says that needs to change to zero percent, and that the Board should have accepted his plans to reduce the size of the County's public workforce, rather than raise taxes. He's vowing to issue significant vetoes, which the Board will consider next Wednesday.
