i have the manual for this
-
So i took a look in Wikipedia, the article "White Peerless", and it seems, that in these machines first it was used the so called "boat shuttle" which is a bit different than the "bullet shuttle" used in the "Singer"(and other)
After the 1900 for the "White" models of that type was created the "new shuttle", which is more like the "bullet", but still different.
The difference is tiny, so your shuttle could be made to match(like I did), but it will be more easy to find a proper one:)

It really looks fantastic. I like the elegant shape and all the decoration.

Hallo,
your machine and it's bobbin, which is not fitting... that's why you found it so cheep, because it's a bit different than most of the models of it's time and it's not matching it's bobbin.
Don't give up and try to find a bobbin which fit into your machine, and if not, try to adjust the bobbin that you have to it's casing ;)
That's how I made one like this working again.
Try to find some manuals for your machine or/and some pictures of the bobbin for it's model

@patilan420 - Thanks for your message - I regret to say that this beautiful machine had to find a new home. Although I loved it - I just had no use for it and so it went to a new home. thanks for your help

brilliant machine, I found a website which explains how to thread this type of shuttle. I have an antique machine but mine was £25, you got a real bargain!. My shuttle is called a boat shuttle, similar to yours but threads differently, I think yours is a drop in type, i.e the long bobbin drops in from the top. Think I have instruction somewhere, do you need help?

Thanks for comment and offer - I think shuttle has been damaged or possibly the casing into which it fits has been damaged. so perhaps a lost cause. A video clip showing your machine would be a welcome addition to you tube - there is something so special and important about old sewing machines.
