The Year Was 2003, The Place
Was New Trier Highschool
and The assignment was
to Write and shoot a short
film. Ben Justman And Don
Ford had no Idea That they
would go on to create an
instant cult classic that
would then spawn the 2005
Prequel Gnome Origins.
This is the Directors
cut of the original Gnome,
that started it all.
The Directors Cut features a new Scene and
added footage that ties the film together
like never before.

There Is An Evil Out There. This Evil Shows No
Remorse. This Evil Is The Gnome. No Ones
Quite Sure What It is Or Where It Came From, All
They Know Is That It Must Be Stopped.

  • I'm not gonna rip on you guys too much....because I know how much work it takes to produce a short film...but this was honestly pretty terrible...If i were you...I would revisit this later after I had a bit of practice...and there was no need for this to be a bit over 9 min....You could have fit all this into maybe four min. if you worked at it...it would have made the film more bearable to watch...

  • extremely LONG (and boring) credit sequence...

  • i graduated in 07. feels like a long time ago.

  • this was the worst movie i have ever seen.

  • Donald Ford deserves an Oscar for this.

  • yes, proud extra in this film!

  • Watch:

    1:52-2:21

    3:35-9:50

The rest is confusing "plot" added in the directors cut.

  • It isn't really supposed to have a plot or solid lines--the appeal is in how bad it is. Check out the original cut--it's somewhere on the web. Cuts out all that annoying "plot"

  • Frank makes the movie . Words don't make men, but they do make for a better film- look into getting a writer.

  • didnt even know what was really going on.... just saw this cuz i go to New Trier
