Using "systems" to create a composition, i decided to have a go at using the golden ratio to determine which chords where played.

  • this sounds really amazin!

is the ratio to do with the beat / space between notes? or the chords?

    thanks x

  • @Sc0000tt yeah it was for the chords, the rest was decided by me. :D Glad you like!

  • sounds awesome..

if you are willing....would you care to explain the process you used to determine the chords?

  • When used in technical analysis, the golden ratio is typically translated into three percentages: – 38.2%, 50% and 61.8%. However, more multiples can be used when needed, such as 23.6%, 161.8%, 423% and so on. There are four primary methods for applying the Fibonacci sequence to finance: retracements, arcs, fans and time zones.

  • sounds like runescape music

  • @groovylocks and that, my friends, is why groovylocks is a billionaire. no. you cannot predict with precision the whims of man. you're looking back on this like someone attributing a current event to a prediction of Nostradamus.

  • can you tell me how the ratio is applied to a chord.

are you working with the frequency of the root?

    are you working with time?

I'm not sure I get your application of the golden ratio

  • oh my gosh! I go to uni right now and im doing a project on teh golden ration too! :)

  • @groovylocks stock trends = you mean trends in shares markets?? economical stuff?? wow!
