Lol niccccce, but does the red ring do the same thing as the blue ring? O.o

Not exactly the same thing. I mean one is better than the other. When you have the blue ring you take 50% damage of what you take originally (Green Tunic), the red ring you take 75% of what you originally took.

what does the blue ring do other than turn your armor white?

Reduces the damage you take by half.

god how can you find any annoyance from just room transitions, are you really that inpatient?

Yes, you can rob the old man blind if you are using an emulator but that would be cheating. In the first quest if you use your gut instinct, you will probably win but the old man screws your over in the second quest.
