Bart Starr's accomplishments as quarterback for the Green Bay Packers were enough to solidify his place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. However, his time and work away from the football field are just even more praiseworthy.

  • One of the most underrated QB's to ever play the game,Two time superbowl MVP

  • I hate to admit it but 5 world championships is better than any quarterback. Maybe Tom Brady can tie or beat him all records fall. But look at all he has won not his stats. Remarkable.

  • the 1966 Packers could win against any NFL team today

  • Starr had great footwork and a throwing motion that some QBs still can't possess today.

  • @lamons71 Uh dude, listen to the narration - he's not underrated. He's rated. He's not overrated either. He's great. Nearest thing today is Matt Ryan or to a lesser extent Drew Brees (yes the latter is a better QB right now). Even in his day Bart Starr did not have a strong arm, but he was very smart and tough and had tons of character and leadership. It remains to be seen if a throwback to this generation will succeed in the modern NFL. Certainly Rodgers is nothing like Starr in personality.

  • Go pack go

  • Do you think Aaron Rodgers can tie to this great QB? Rodgers needs one more SB and the MVP!!!

  • Best QB of the Green Bay Packers. Starr>Favre, Starr>Rodgers

  • Indeed, today's football players are bigger, stronger and faster and I mentioned this in my first comment. Despite this, I believe Starr would do very well today as the offensive linemen today have adapted to today's defensive linemen and linebackers. Starr was a master of reading defenses and avoiding interceptions and, although he might struggle at the beinning, he could adapt to today's defenses.

  • @davidLw15 I'm not saying he couldn't succeed, just that as sports progress athletes tend to become larger and more athletic. He could and very well might succeed

Bart Starr, if you were around from 1959 through 1971, his last season, had the most accurate arm of all the QBs of his day. Interceptions were far and few between during his illustrious career with the Packers. I would say that if he had a good offensive line, particularly tackles, that could keep up with today's speedy outside defensive ends and outside rushing linebackers, Starr could compete today. I had the pleasure of watching him watch him play in the Sixties.

  • @davidLw15 I believe that's the case with most every player in every sport, as time progresses the athletes get bigger, faster, stronger. the like.
