In My Life - Beatles Guitar Chord Melody Solo w/Capo - Jim Wright

My youtube friend, Dar, not only requested this great Beatle song, but ALSO asked that I play this particular guitar.....it's the limited Epiphone John Lennon Casino - the one that is made in Japan and is produced with all U.S.A. parts (Gibson pickups, etc). I love this guitar and this song. Good choices, Dar.

I played this song with a capo on the 5th fret....I tried it (and recorded it) with and without the capo and thought the capo version was most interesting. I will also upload the "uncapoed" version today. Which one do you like best?

Is that an echo effect you have on that? Sounds like it very dreamy & Chet Atkins like.

I had a 96 casino but I didnt like the neck profile I found it was too thin ended up trading it but last year I spent my entire xmas bonus on a Peerless Songbird which I rate more.

@mikh84 I usually use a little delay and reverb; sometimes I'll add a little chorus. I'm not familiar with the Peerless Songbird. We've done a lot of Beatles tunes. Do a youtube search for "mrjimdeb beatles" and about a dozen songs will come up. Thanks for listening and commenting. Jim
