Thanks for uploading! I understand that they cut some scenes in the German version back in 1979 (even this way, there were many parants complaining about the "violent" scenes). But at least in the new DVD version they should have shown the complete movie!

This scene is such soapish trash, LOL :D It's for the brains of children of course, but if you look at TODAYS shows for grownups, i can't see much difference. Perhaps we're totally retarded ...

Thanx for uploading. Never ve seen this scene. In german TV they cut it out. But in the official Panini Foto Album of 1983 there were pictures of that scene. I ve ever wandered about it.

@progress2007: Sorry to disagree, but the German edit sucks completely! Right from the first episode on, there are always parts where you are entirely lost as a viewer until you realize that - again! - some important development in the plot has just been skipped, making the whole show quite stupid in terms of script. I don't know why they did it in the first place, but it is nothing short of revulting for a fan to see.

There are cut about 25 minutes per storyline. They cut four episodes down to three...

Yeah, the german version was shortened down, but I must admit I think they did a pretty good job of concentrating the story and making it into a really entertaining show with a great rhythm to it.

I must admit I like the German version best - I didn't need the violence or the distressing backstory at all to this day I think that the reason why there is so much violence on TV is not because people need it but because they watch because it provokes them.

C.Bruhn's music is 100% pure genius, too.
