Beijing Olympics Ceremony Partially Faked

News has emerged that parts of Beijing's Olympic Opening Ceremony on Friday were faked.
For those watching it on TV, one of the most spectacular images was the series of firework footprints that lit the sky over Beijing. But in an interview with the Beijing Times newspaper, video graphics animator Gao Xiaolong let slip that he had actually overseen the production of these images. They were artificial images, computer-generated for the broadcast.




And one of the Ceremony's most emotional moments was when nine-year-old Lin Miaoke sang 'Ode to the Motherland.' Well, as it turns out, this performance was entirely lip-synched.
According to the Ceremony's musical director, Chen Qigang, in a state radio interview, members of China's Communist leadership found Lin's singing unacceptable. So they replaced her voice with a recording by the more musically talented seven-year-old Yang Peiyi. Yet Yang Peiyi was judged to be not cute enough to take the stage, so they arranged a lip-sync. Chen said the trick was--quote--'in the national interest,' but some Chinese bloggers are expressing feelings of surprise and even disgust at the news. Notably, the architect of China's centerpiece Bird's Nest Stadium, Mr. Ai Weiwei, has stated on his own blog that the ceremony--quote--'deceived and humiliated its six hundred million spectators.' Besides, China informed the commentators from around the globe beforehand that the footprint fireworks on TV is just a rendition, many countries' commentators during the live broadcast did comment to family audience that the footprint firework on TV is just a CGI rendition to convey what's happening in Beijing. Since China came upfront with this, why the western media still condemned China afterwards, it seems the western media have to exploit every opportunity to besmirch China. Jealous Losers!

Lip-syncher is not the first time it happend in Olympics. Salt Lake City Winter Olympics is a prime example. As the furry white creatures sang during the opening ceremony, it was actually pre recorded by SLC's, Cathedral of the Madeleine choir school.

Lip-sycher is no big deal, but out of JEALOUSY, western media have to nitpick small things and blow it all out of proportion to make the best opening ceremony in history seem as though it wasn't as spectacular as most people perceived it to be.

The actual footprint firewoks WERE going off at the same time as the simulated one on TV, and in much the same way... tourists and people in Beijing saw the footprint fireworks fired above sky.

but it was hard to capture all those 29 footprint fireworks on a helicopter, and it was hard to predict the weather or other cirumstances, and following those footprint fireworks could endanger the safety of the helicopter pilot. So, they showed a 55-second CGI illustration for the people watching TV.

Politics aside, Beijing's opening ceremony is the most stunning and imposing show on the planet. Can London 2012 beat it or as good as it? Sorry, I don't think so.
