Chantal Kreviazuk - 2007.02.24 - "Far Away" @ Massey Hall

Chantal sat on the front of the stage and played "Far Away" solo on an acoustic guitar with no amplification and no mic. I was lucky enough to be second row and capture it on video. Sadly, my camera decided to not allow me to catch the first line, but I got everything after that. You really get to hear just how powerful this amazing woman's vocals are by watching this. I remember her saying something like "It's so amazing, I'm so honoured to play in such a place that has such a special little magic to it...hopefully I won't ruin that magic, hopefully I can keep it going." And she laughed, jokingly, but I think she brought that massey hall aura full force that night, especially with this one performance. It made my admiration and respect for her talent skyrocket...and she has inspired me and so many others. My deepest thanks to whoever uploaded this <3

seeing this brings me to tears because of her sheer beauty, excellence in art and the pure awe she brought to massey hall. I'm so glad that you brought this to youtube so i could relive this moment, as much as i could, at least. Nothing could replace sitting there and seeing her sing like an angel.

i was at this concert with my boyfriend and it was our first concert together, and our first time meeting each other since we met online in 2003. at that time, i was 16 and going through a rough thing or to, like most teens do these days.

this concert was on the last night we were together, and was something we were both looking forward to for such a long time....and chantal made that one night the most memorable night of my life.
