@5h4d0w990 I agree. I've since stopped carrying my S40-A1, it's capacity and dimensions aren't really worth it for a carry piece, I know carry an M&P9c. I still think the steyr pistols are awesome range guns, fun and comfortable to shoot, very accurate.

@jpap967 Irrelevant of it's length/height - it's a 1.18" thick pistol (ala G19), but holds it's dimensions like a brick. I've tried CCWing my M40A1, and I'll tell you now, it prints somewhat easy. You NEED an overcoat of decent thickness to hide the edges.
I hate to say it - the G19 is a bit better CCW piece than the Steyr. IMHO.

@pete5668 Um, define "Easy". Do most big-name manufacturers make holsters for it? Yes. Will you be able to get any line of holster from said manufacturer for this gun? Probably not.

@uncharted75 ...don't see how...same mass-produced budget-minded-engineering in a shared caliber (.40). The whole reason a Steyr is like an Acura to the Glock is that they went ABOVE what Glock did, in engineering terms, irrelevant of the model (17/19/21/22/etc.) If anything, the G22 is more like a Honda Civic SI.
-
@mrfrosty3 Think of it this way - if a G19 is a Honda Civic, this is the Acura RSX Type S.

I like this style better than Beretta cause of the nice grip and casing and sights its similar to Glock

I have an m 1 .40 steyr for sale. Make me an offer

Where can i buy it?
-
I want one, badly. Every review I have seen or read rates these as excellent weapons. Many refer to it as "the glock perfected."

in Steyr, Austria
Do you still think this is the best shooting pistol money can buy? Has your opinion on it changed? Would you recommend this gun to someone who has never fired one?

@mycrx89 For the price it was going for it is a great value. I would recommend it for someone who never shot one. It would come down to how it feels for them though.

Good news, the Steyr Arms (USA) are once again importing the Steyr MA1 and SA1 pistols. The MSRP for the pistols is $649.

@gorillafarm I read that they're starting to import again. Didn't know about that MSRP though, that's pretty steep
