America has quite a checkered past with regards to supporting/training/siding with dictators freedom fighters/terrorists African warlord or Mujahadeen - (Stinger missiles? WTF were they thinking?). Usually this was to furthur American interests. That support has later repurcussions. America isnt the only country that does this of course, but its the one we are discussing. Also, unless the economy gets fixed asap China is going to end up owning your house.

Dont be so touchy, slave labour has been building civilisations for millennia. Theres nothing particularly socialist about pointing that out is there? The only difference is the way America lagged behind the anti slave movement for so long. America seems to make a lot of enemies thanks to its dabbling in outside affairs.
