these were filmed in the 30's, yet here I am, in 2009 and I have kisses for this man. How am I to go about administering these kisses to him? A truly horrible, aching conundrum. Why did god make this happen??

What...The...F*CK?
But I mean that in the best possible way. This song sounds like something from the Beatles. (Where, exactly, is this song from?) And I love the guitar playing lobster.

@dariaE Gaaah, I'm in the exact same predicament!

Everyone should know more about Peter Lorre. As well as Jazz Butcher

Fortunately, the media corporations are starting to get the message that there is a Peter Lorre fandom out here and there's a market for all these great unreleased Peterfilms they've been sitting on like "Island of Doomed Men," "Three Strangers," "The Constant Nymph" and "I Was An Adventuress." The meme that he was typecast and always did the same thing is just not true. There was an astonishing variety to his roles and the way he played them.

Five people are NOT all right...

@smileyface7727 That's the Maltese Falcon, one of the movies Peter Lorre's best known for and a classic film in itself, I'd recommend. :)

@vodkavonstroheim I agree with Philo - i have this JBC album, and like the fact that he put up the song (which I liked enough to put on my Ipod) up on Youtube with some video associated. Well done Philo! & thanks.

The movie clip @ 1:14 looked like it might be from Island of Doomed Men..I have only seen a poster of it and a few brief clips here and there but the studios have not released the movie so I can't rent or buy it anywhere! I would really love to see it! Can you tell me where you might have got the clip? Or suggest where to look to see the movie?
Thank you, I'm a fan of his too.
But wouldn't you agree that much of Lorre's uniqueness was his voice and the manner in which he spoke. We get little of that here - a few snippets. Mostly a song that has, let's face it, nothing to do with him. Wouldn't you rather hear him at 2:16 shrieking at Greenstreet, "You imbecile! You bloated idiot! You stupid fat head!" over these banal lyrics?
I would have preferred that you left the original soundtracks intact so we could hear him as well as see him.

@PhiloYT1 I made the video because I like the song, partially for its lyrics, which I find completely affectionate and charming. Leaving all the audio in would have made for quite the cacophony. C'mon, you can watch hella movie clips all over YouTube; the point of making a fan music video is to put some nice images over some nice music that you like and make them sync as well as possible. I left the voice in during the instrumental bit, anyway.

I, for one, would welcome as many music videos for this song on YouTube as possible! :D
