Khalida performs for The Kornagey Benefit!

April 4th at the Chavis Community Center, in Raleigh, housed a benefit of laughs and love for The Kornagey Family: Cheryl and Cutler and their two children aged 6 and 8. Cutler Kornegay is 26, has brain cancer, and will be undergoing radiation treatment for 6 1/2 weeks and chemotherapy for a year at Duke hospital. We are proud to announce that a portion of the proceeds was donated to Mission4Marueen, an organization that aids brain cancer patients in financial distress by providing relief for utility costs, rent or mortgage, insurance premiums, expenses to get to treatments, etc. By holding this benefit, we raised $1080.00! Khalida is performing a short balancing act with a shot glass. "There is not alot of dancing in this act," Khalida says, "I thought it would be fun to play around with the music rather than be so serious. I wanted to uplift the crowd and get them to snicker or giggle. So I made funny faces and had alot of fun!"

Yes, this was inspired by R.B. She and Zoe are cause for alot of my inspiration. They were the first dancers that I really fell in love with their work. Around my neck of the woods (Fayetteville) they call me "The Next Rachel Brice" even though I still get flattered by just that comment.
