1994 was Lee's last year in 5A. They had no business battling Catholic, Denham Springs and Glen Oaks. Not their fault, just the facts of the times.
I covered high school in Baton Rouge from 1997 through 2004. Nice to see the old clips of Dale Weiner at Catholic.

@DNSKansas Correct. Lee had a hard time in 5A, but we went 5-5 that year...surprisingly. We went 6-5 the next year and made it to the playoffs for the first time in about 8 years. So yeah, 4A was a better fit.
