"Addiction in it's purest form"? This is delusion in it's purest form. The 12 steps are an exploitation of those who are already vulnerable due to the effects of substance abuse. Depression makes them seek something, anything, and the love-bombing cult nature of 12-stepping makes things worse for them! "The newcomer is the most important person in the room." No. The newcomer is most vulnerable. Tell them they're in a "safe place" and they're yours for the spiritual devouring and indoctrination.
