But how do you know when  the centrifuge is filled with the mess and you have to shut it down? Too early and you are loosing good oil. Too late and you can contaminate clean oil with dirty one ...

You can buy a turnkey already built for 1500 dollars with the latest simple centrifuge bowl and feed cone. Pretty slick!!  excellent innovation.

Just a small point, & I could very well be wrong, I often am haha - 0:36 0:37 .....Kept there by Gravitational Force ??? ............. should that not be Centrifugal Force ?? Gravity would, ultimately, drag the old 'gook' stuff down the wall to which it has be thrown by the centrifuge - not so ??

do you use a heater? and why would you use one on hydraulic oil?

i will be making one of these i am fed up of using filter bags it takes me a day to filter one litre o svo etc. I have a water pump motor that spins at 3500 RPM all i need is to make the bowl i work in a machine.
