This was really overkill -- the Health Department lady obviously wanted to make a name for herself. At the very least, this stuff could have gone to the farm animals or compost, and the non-meat items should not have been required to be destroyed. Generally speaking, though, I do like USDA health inspections for any meat that is for sale.
