  • So basically you spent $1900 on it? That's overpriced in my opinion. 190k+ Miles is a lot for a 3000gt. You can get these cars with under 150k miles for less than 3k. I bought mine for $2500 94k miles, then spent $1000 on wheels + tires. It also came with 2 10" momo polk subs and amps. Not trying to shit on you, but you could have done better.

  • @godrilla to break it down for ya, I bought it for $500. I bought a timing belt and air filter for it for $100. I bought a autozone ecu for $400 but it was crap so they refunded me and I got it fixed at Av Pro for $200. I have about $200 in the stereo so that all adds up to a grand total of around $1000 i have in it. Its an amazing car for $1000! Im gonna sell it this summer and I know i can get around $2500 out of it. Those are the facts

  • @ESH318V8 no problem man, glad to help. Good luck!

  • @badkins510 Ok thanks for the helpful advice! I hope I can get it goin to!!

  • @ESH318V8 its hard to tell sometimes if the ecu is bad but if it is leaking then i would say get it fixed. Have Av Pro in Flordia do it. They charge around $290 but they lifetime guarantee their work. they also refund your money if it doesn't fix your car. just give them a call and tell them your situation. they fixed me up! Hope you can fix your car man!

  • @badkins510 ok thanks! So if there leaking then the ecu is bad? N it wont be to costly for a new one correct?

  • @ESH318V8 on these cars the capacitors in the ecu start leaking after a while and can cause all kinds of problems. I would pull out the ecu and see if there is any evidence of the capacitors leaking. (ecu is under the middle of the dash) Also if the ecu smells like fish then your capacitors could be leaking. If it is your ecu, send it down to Av-Pro in Flordia. they have a lifetime warranty and it only costs around $250

  • @badkins510 ahh ok i see. ya mine slowly got worse n worse little by little every week until finally i fixed it, i put new MGK spark plugs and wires(also new intake gasket) on and it ran wonderful for 1 week!! Then started doing the exact same thing...any ideas?

  • @ESH318V8 Thanks! when i first got my car the bolt in the crank was stripped out and in the 5 minutes that i ran it, the crank angle sensor disc jumped about 45 degrees off. This caused my ignition timing to get all screwed up making it not run and it took me around 6 months to fix it due to a refurbished ecu i bought from autozone.com that was crap. i finally sent my ecu down to Av-Pro in flordia. i got it back within a week, put it in my car and it runs perfect now!

  • Hi very nice car! I have the same car but red...what was your car acting like before you fixed it?
