This game is a visual novel, which is basically a mix between a game and a novel. It is practically a game, but it has no gameplay and focuses completely on the story.
I/O is written by Takumi Nakazawa and Romeo Tanaka; for translated examples of their works, see Ever17 (Takumi Nakazawa) and Cross Channel (Romeo Tanaka), both visual novels.
