Richard Carpenter's message

This is the legendary Richard Carpenter. I talked to Mr. Richard Carpenter on May 10th, 2008, after the "Scholarship Competition" in Thousand Oaks, California. This talent competition is sponsored by him annually and features the areas best performers in dance, vocal and instrumental categories. It takes place at the "Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza". Richard supports the arts and local talented students. In this video he sends a warm message to the fans of South America. Richard Carpenter: Great artist, great man!!

No,no...I bought the tickets for talent competition sponsored by him in Thousand Oaks, California, on 05/10/2008.

wow thats so cool considering Richard & Karen won 1st place in a talent competion that launched the beginings of what was to be what we know them now as, "the carpenters".

I guess Richard feels that "giving back" and doing this event will bring out more hidden gems out in the world or at least in thousand oaks, CA. :)
