Before I tell you about all the wonderful things I know about Jazz, let me tell you what she isn't first. Jazz prefers the company of women, and will not be adopted to a male only home. She is not a dog for a family. She will not go to a home with children, as they terrify her. She must have a fenced in yard, no exceptions. The fence must be physical, not invisible/electric, no exceptions. Jazz cannot go out of state for her adoption unless it is a picture perfect home with aussie experience.
Now, that you know the bad, let me tell you about all the good things. Jazz is a 6 year old, blue merle female that is absolutely a joy to have around. She is a playful, fun loving, smart, challenging dog. Jazz LOVES to play "hide and seek" and she will fetch a ball or stick. She loves to run and romp in the yard, almost seeming puppyish at times. She enjoys being outside playing with her people. Once bonded, Jazz will be the most loyal dog, with her always being focused on her person. After she has had a chance to establish a strong bond with her new person, Jazz will love to be your walking buddy. She enjoys evening walks with her special person as well, trips to places that are out in the open such as parks. Her recall is excellent, she is housebroken and crated trained, and walks well on leash. She gets along well with other dogs and we don't know about cats, though we suspect she would be fine with them.
Despite her fears and hesitations, she is a curious pup with a need for exploration. Once she is comfortable with her surrounds (could take several months) Jazz loves to investigate new corners of her world, laying aside her fears to find something that sparks her inner curiosity. Jazz has been known to sneak around the house, searching out fun toys and interesting things, only to pile them up and look at them, again, after she is comfortable in her home. Jazz knows basic obedience, a couple tricks and is learning to herd. She has entered our herding classes, been instinct tested (AND PASSED!) and is furthering her training. She will make a wonderful and loyal friend to her new adopters.
Jazz is an amazing dog. If you have any questions about Jazz, or would like to adopt her, please contact Amanda at Amandariddle@insightbb.com. Jazz is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. Jazz is located in the Greater Cincinnati area.
