I dont get it. It doesnt make sense at this tempo - maybe the softer bits, but I always thought of this movement as a great temptress. The introduction is never repeated again as it is, but it's the great hook that draws the ear into the beautiful world of the piano's music which softens the ear's wanting for the excitement of the introduction. That intro never comes again (1:22) but the ear is not left wanting because it discovers a slower, gentler pleasure. At this tempo that falls apart.

This isn't quite Allegro Maestoso :/ could perhaps find a proper orchestra who did the correct speed? this is a really good concerto as sjotoku said but it just isn't the right speed to capture the excitement of this concerto. still, I love this piece

I adore this piece (one of Mozart's most underrated concerti, or pieces period) - but what's with the glacial pacing? I want the world to know what an exciting concerto this is, and this recording isn't helping the cause...
