Current issues that need fixing:
- eyelets not big enough.
- lace hooks have paint chipping off of them.
- make the skate stiffer, especially at the top.
- pain in ankle bone area for outside ankle bone.

Potential new issues not discussed in video:
- The tip of the white "X" hangs off. Needs to be cut closer.
- perhaps lace bite still exists (to be tested).
- back of ankle pain when crouching for a jump (to be tested).

What's next?
1 - Get blades sharpened on the skate. Test the skate at the rink. Create a video showing the testing of the test and any potential issues that need to be addressed.
2- Send skate back to manufacturer to address all known issues.
3- Test the skate again.

End product will look similar to these pictures:

  • On the outside edge its called arch problem ? many skates have that problem , i had it myself , You can either get different insole or just mold them ! Not sure those skates are heat moldable right ?

  • @HockeyTutorialFrance They are heat moldable, but in doing so, it breaks down the boot. The application for applying heat to these boots is not readily available. Xtreme Ice Skating is an emerging sport. The infrastructure is not in place such as skate ovens. A skate shop is not going to do that for a skate they didn't sell. Appreciate the advice though.

  • @MagnificentKot Only if someone requests it.

  • @Prolite Dan, did you think about autographing the first few boots? That would be awesome as they could become collectors items some years from now.

  • @Prolite Yes, I think you're right. I'd not really thought of that before. Anyhooo, I'll ask the skate shop here if they'll take a few. I'll order one nearer the time personally. Thanks again for everything. Enjoy your day.

  • @MagnificentKot I'm not sure how to prevent water from getting it. Snow could easily get in from the top and snake it's way into the tongue area. There's nothing I can do to prevent that.

  • @MagnificentKot Thanks. Wait until I put stickers on them bladeholders, and printed wording on the "X".

  • Dan, I love your attention to detail. Love has obviously gone into making these boots.

  • @patinajesobrehielo The skates are gorgeous. The more I look at these the more I feel the need to have.

  • @Prolite Oooh sorry I meant, when I take my Bauer boots off, I always find after a session or two that my socks are wet. That's the only downside to skating as it means I end up washing my socks after every session. But it might be a good thing that the feet are cold if you're not active on the ice? I'm guessing it would prevent the socks from getting wet?
