  • have a question. we have the same gear. just for the sake of asking is there a way that the Pop-up flash wont fire? just asking... from my research there is no way you might know something that i dont know :) thanks

  • @stephengperez There is an option to trigger the external flash without including the pop-up flash in the photograph, but the pop-up must fire in order to communicate with the external flash.

  • So to confirm, the 7D's popup flash acts only as a transmitter, firing BEFORE the picture is taken, to signal to the external 430's to fire, and the popup doesnt make its way into the image at all?

  • @klopot You can choose when you want the flash to fire - before the external flash to trigger it, or with the external flash to provide more light.

  • great video - does it also work if I want to shoot with high sync speed? how does this work? (if I want to shoot with a shutterspeed higher than 1/250... also even with more flash units than just one?)

  • @10dragz10 It's doesn't shoot HSS. A total bummer. Perhaps the next generation will do it. For now you'll have to use pocket wizards.

  • @SuperMangn by having one 580ex n one 430 with both being off the camer body, do you need to buy an external wireless trigger or not?

    thnx

  • I don't see nothing on your blog

  • i always use my dog as supermodel............she doesnt like it at all

  • i'm sorry to ask, but i also have a canon 430 EXII how can i do this? i have a canon 1000D, but i think that doesn't matter cause you only need the internal flash and the 430 EX. But what do i have to do with the flash than?

  • yep its just like they say never work with kids or animals. Big Bird you need a lesson in modeling :p

  • NIKON CLS RULES

  • @patwikwin The two 430ex are slave only. A 580ex can act as a master.

  • nice, and easy to understand, thanks

  • i have 2 580EX 2 but i have a t2i how do i configure the camera so the built in flash doesn't effect the picture?
