For new ipod touch with byilt in mic, use iphone setup for cheaper outcome.

I don't have the double splitter I have the 2.5 to 3.5 mm adapter can I stick that into my Xbox controller then get the 3.5 to 3.5 mm cord then stick that in the back of the 2.5 to 3.5 mm adapter then put that in my iPhone headphone hole

I have a pair of turtle beaches that hook up to the headphone jack on the tv.. That will work right?

what if u have the newest ipod with the mic build in?

@MrMonroeMan I'm afraid you are not able to record with the mic built in to the ipod headphones, but you can still buy the mic and do the setup for ipod touch...the iphone's mic isn't that bad if you adjust its volume and position tho.

For clearer sound, instead of using iphone mic, buy the gigaware microphone i linked...its only like 10 bucks and cheaper otherplaces, and gives a crisp sound. You can use the ipod touch setup on your iphone just to have a better sounding mic.
