Many of the theists claim that since atheists can´t prove there are no god their claim that there is is just as valid. I don´t agree with that conclusion but I thought I for once should entertain the idea of the "prime mover" or like some of the believers say "the one that started it all".
Knowing what we know about the universe what would the god of the gaps, the god of the time before the big bang, the god of the unanswered mysteries be like?
-Would such an entity have any resemblance with the god of Abraham?

I dont think than that entity working and being in every aspect of the universe (microscopical, mechanical, and an infinite etc) in such harmony to be a childish metaphor, but definetly it is when we give him a human aspect who makes miracles and judges our actions.
We're not so free as we may think, we understand our thoughs and emotions, but we can't control the very beggining of them. Free will is a part of the inclination to guilt and judgment, maybe responding to an instint of social order.

@Caesar88888 Math is invented by man and could be understood by men. If there are a creator of this universe he would be unintelligible to you, me and your guru. No one could know for sure if there is such a god or not but we can know for sure that anyone that claims insight in the nature of such a divine entity is either deceived or a deceiver.

If man studied math for 50 years he knows it better than me.

@Caesar88888 But now you are a adult man and I wan´t you to know that, when it comes to the question if there are a god or not, there is no one to trust beside your own reason and common sence. Your guru could not know any more about that than you, me or anyone else.

@Caesar88888 Besides this line of thought is not a about god but the possibility of a god - knowing what we know about the world and the universe. My conclusion is that such a god is a way to complex entity to be the cause of the universe. (Occam's razor)
However IF there are such a entity it could not be anything like the puny gods of human religions. There for no priest or guru can be trustedas as the only god still possible, knowing what we know, could not be understod by man.

@Caesar88888 Chanting does give you an ecstasy sure. I have experienced the same thing many times as a musician. It´s not magic it´s your brain responding to the inner order, rhythm and harmonies of the music. Could be any music you happen to like but preferably music with much repetition. Listen to this or any other music you like with the same ears you have when you chant. I would not be surprised if you could feel that same kind of high.
